HOT ROLLED PLATES, BEAMS AND STRUCTURAL STEELS
The energy and infrastructure sectors, particularly the offshore oil and gas exploration industry, relies on materials capable of withstanding high mechanical stresses, pressures, and temperature extremes in corrosive environments. ISF offers high strength plate products that meet or exceed international specifications and cover a wide range of grades within those codes.
Steel offerings cover structural, offshore, wear resistant, high and ultra high strength, boiler and pressure vessel, and shipbuilding grades – all sourced from premium internatioanl mills and accredited by independent third party inspectors.
- Plate offerings include:
- High yield structural steels (EN10025, S355J2/K2, S460, S500, S690)
- Offshore quality grades (API 2W 50, API 2W 60, EN10225 S355G3, S355G8, S355G10+N/M, S420G2+M, S460G2+M, including pre-production qualified steels
- Arctic steels (Low temperature Charpy V-Notch (LCVN) and higher strength steels)
- Boiler and pressure vessel steels including Hydrogen Induced Cracking resistant (HIC) steels for sour service applications – ASTM A 516 Grade 60/65/70
- Clad material
- Classified shipbuilding steels to suit customer requirements (ABS AH, DH, EH, FH, and DNV A, D, E, F)
- Specialty steels including proprietary and modified steels, abrasion resistant and armor plates
- Stainless, duplex, super duplex and nickel alloy plate and sheet (316L, 2205, 2507, N00625, N00825)
- Structural steel materials are offered in many supply conditions:
- As rolled
- Normalized
- Quenched and tempered (Q&T)
- Thermo-mechanically control rolled (TMCP)
- Structural steels often require additional properties including:
- Simulated post-weld heat treated (PWHT) tested
- Through thickness tested
- Ultra-sonically tested
- Strain age impact tested
Weldability data and fracture mechanics are available upon request.
